Tanya graduated with a BA in Biological Sciences from Oxford University. She then worked in Cologne, Germany for 2 years as a Research assistant, after which she returned to the UK and completed the Applied Bioinformatics MSc at Cranfield University.

She is now part of the 2025 FoodBioSystems DTP studying DNA-based methods for investigating honey authenticity.
