BIO

Yiting Wang’s research sits at the intersection of biosensing, environmental health and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). She focuses on developing practical tools to monitor biological and chemical threats within complex environmental systems.

Her work advances the development and integration of emerging sensing technologies, including microfluidic and paper‑based analytical devices, molecular diagnostics and biosensors, to deliver rapid, field‑deployable detection. A core research theme is wastewater‑based AMR surveillance. She combines phenotypic and genotypic detection approaches to improve understanding of AMR occurrence, transmission and environmental dynamics.

More broadly, she translates innovations in sensing and analytical technologies into accessible, scalable real‑world monitoring solutions. Her work supports environmental surveillance, public health decision‑making and cross‑disciplinary One Health research.
